Whether you’re all about boosting equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) practices, diving into your creative side, or getting better at facilitation, I’ve got your back. I jump into all sorts of spaces, from grassroots projects and non-profits to small and big businesses, corporations, and institutions. I embrace alternative, participatory, and creative ways to share knowledge, build skills and hold space. My facilitation methodology is about creating a sense of welcome, growth, and empowerment for all participants, no matter what they’re diving into.

Group Resets are like hitting the refresh button. It’s for groups that are dealing with drama, tension, and toxic vibes that do not serve the overall work, community, or organizational culture. This is not a formal mediation; this is a collaborative reset, a team effort, that needs everyone onboard from leadership to every group member. Together, we navigate and unpack the cumulative impacts of divisive perceptions and power dynamics that go unchecked and can make things messy. Group Resets aim to clear the air, untangle the knots, empower and realign the group onto the same page and move forward from a better place.

My trainings are a dynamic blend of theory and practice. They can cover a bunch of topics such as anti-oppression, anti-racism, colonialism, white supremacy, microaggressions, intersectionality, positionality, solidarity, and more. All these concepts and systems relate to each other. It's not a one-size-fits-all deal—you have the flexibility to choose what resonates most. Explore how these interconnected concepts and systems shape your world, perceptions and gain the knowledge and skills necessary to take action.

Boundaries

In this training, we're diving into the world of boundaries at work, something many people don't pay enough attention to. Without them, things can get pretty rough—burnout, feeling drained, losing your passion, people quitting and not getting much done. We'll tackle the tricky stuff that makes it hard to say “no” like trying to please everyone, dealing with self-worth stories, and endless deadlines. Explore the skills to figure out, express, negotiate and stick to your boundaries. Explore the work it takes to let go of the not-so-great parts of grind culture and balance our relationship to work in a sustainable and healthy way.

Emotional Intelligence

In the professional realm, personal and work spaces intertwine. No matter how strict our work boundaries, emotions always play a role. Emotional intelligence is the secret sauce for navigating the intricate dance of social dynamics. It's not just about recognizing and dealing with feelings, both yours and others', but a crucial tool for leadership. This isn't just about being a people person; it transforms the texture and vulnerability of our interactions, both in life and at work. It deepens our connections, boosts our ability to adapt to the moment, and grounds our decision-making. Emotional intelligence is the upgrade we all need, boosting empathy, self-awareness, and social finesse.

Conflict Resiliency

Conflict is bound to happen. Small scale. Medium scale. Dumpster fire scale. This isn't about mediating full-blown battles; it's all about gearing up with preventative skills and creating a healthy relationship to conflict. In the real world, problems, conflicts, and tensions, especially in the workplace, are just part of the deal. Normalize it, navigate it, and bounce back stronger. Discover diverse approaches to address issues, steer clear of knee-jerk reactions that make things worse, and better understand the conflict landscape. It's like hitting the gym for your problem-solving muscles—you can't lift a 100-pound problem without some regular practice.

Facilitation & Design

Facilitation is the art of steering a raft down a winding river, responding to the flow, while design is building a cool vessel that cruises along. Whether you’ve planned for months or you’re just winging it, both good facilitation and design can elevate any experience—be it events, meetings, workshops, brainstorms, retreats, team building, key-notes, performances, presentations, online, in person, or a blend of both. Explore engaging and effective tips that expand your possibilities in creating and holding space for people, experiences and whatever unfolds.

Calling all facilitators, whether you're just starting out or already rocking it, and anyone keen on diving into core skills, exploring EDI and anti-racism practices, and wanting a coach or mentor by your side—I've got you! This is about personal and professional growth. Let's chat about the exciting project ideas brewing in your mind, that dream conference you want to design, debrief the session that went south, or the internal and external hurdles you're facing. We'll work through it, finding clarity together. My style is down-to-earth, embodied, supportive and all about centering your goals.

Being a leader is no walk in the park. Traditional leadership molds can be confining, whether it's the pressure to conform or navigating expectations from above. Times are changing, and so is leadership style, shaped by a new generation and evolving industries. Empowered leadership is about dismantling outdated molds for themselves and the people they manage. It emphasizes taking responsibility, being transparent, creative, empathetic, vulnerable, even, in structurally shifting towards equity and inclusivity. This coaching is for leaders who are ready to roll up their sleeves and be supported to unpack and leverage their power for real change, reshaping work culture for the better.

Sometimes you just need a second pair of eyes on your policy, workshop design, or that cool activity you're planning. Maybe it's a quick EDI check or a brief chat about your upcoming event. If it's a longer gig like a festival or conference, we can dive deep with a longer commitment. But for the rest—those short-term projects where you've got most of it covered—this is like the final polish on a washed car, adding that extra shine. Consultation and feedback tailored to what you want to hear, geared towards your goals.

Perhaps you're looking for someone to step up and lead the way. Whether it's moderating a lively panel discussion, bringing a fresh perspective as a guest speaker on your podcast, being MC at an event, or creating an inclusive space as a facilitator for a sharing circle, I can step in. Maybe you need a conductor for a staff retreat, team-building activities, or professional development training. Let me handle the intricacies, giving you the freedom to immerse yourself fully, participate actively, or direct your energies elsewhere.

In a world that's always on fast-forward, finding a moment to take a deep breath feels like a victory. These sessions are care containers where we navigate life's whirlwind through storytelling and creativity. Whether you're a wordsmith, doodler, collager, painter, stand up comedian or just a dance-in-the-mirror kind of person, these sessions are your ticket to letting your feelings and stories unfold beyond the confines of your mind. It's an easygoing space, meant to add some breathing room to your day, a chance to express yourself, or fuel your creative practice, whether you're just starting or already a pro. Activities are based on themes we chat about to keep things aligned for each session. These sessions are great for teams, groups, and community spaces.

Methodology

The collective is wise.

We do not know everything. We know what we know. At times, we may doubt ourselves and feel alone in our experiences, our enoughness, our struggles, and our fears. Such feelings can shrink our self-perception and confidence in contributing to the world. In reality, wisdom resides within every one of us. If we lean outside ourselves to our neighbor, our friends, our community, and the natural world, we may discover and deepen our relationship to not only what it is that we do know, but also the empowering potential of what happens when we come together for things we don’t. It's a recognition that, collectively, we nurture wisdom within each other, that togetherness fosters a deeper sense of belonging, trust, and relationships.

Embrace the space in between.

The world tends to confine us within boxes, binaries, labels, and categories, where truth is perceived at either extreme. When there is no in between, we can feel unseen, unsafe, and unworthy. When there is no in between, we can become trapped, compressing the multifaceted nature of ourselves and our interconnected relationships. The truth of who we are defies simplicity; it's a tapestry of uniqueness, nuance, and complexity. While binaries offer a semblance of comfort in their clarity, the grey areas often evoke discomfort. Embracing and allowing the full spectrum of our complexity is a muscle-strengthening exercise—holding space for the black, the white, the grey, and everything in between, embracing the diverse emotions and truths that emanate from these spaces. This approach cultivates a capacity for compassionate curiosity and love toward all stories—those already lived, those concealed, and those waiting to be told. It's an inclusive stance, inviting us to celebrate and glean wisdom from the richness that permeates across differences, realities, and experiences.

Building capacity for resilience.

Growing up is hard. Growing pains are real. Sometimes we know what we need to change but don’t know how. Sometimes we don’t have a clue but we know something's gotta give. Sometimes we think we got it and then we fail. From the ground up, we need to ground in. Building a resilient foundation demands a blend of solid groundwork, the right tools, and practical know-how tailored to you. Grounding in requires a mature emotional intelligence, embracing humility to identify areas that warrant attention. What needs breaking down? What requires rebuilding, restructuring, and fortifying? Gaining an embodied understanding of the seeds we aim to cultivate and the tools to nurture them enhances our confidence, enriches our contributions, and expands our capacities, allowing us to navigate life as our most authentic selves.

Everything in time. Everything takes time.

Our relationship status to time can be...complicated. Whether we have too much or too little, it feels like it is a constant tension that can stress us out in all sorts of ways. Depending on where we’re at, time stretches or compresses, offering moments of spaciousness or urgency. It can unfold predictably or surprise us with spontaneity. Regardless, everything has its own time. While change often requires a patient unfolding, at times, it strikes like a lightning bolt in the dark. Creating a time landscape that intuitively allows for its existence involves setting boundaries, treating time as if it were a river. It flows fast, slows down, meanders, pauses in lakes and oceans, or multiplies like distributaries. Tuning into time, understanding its ebb and flow, and discerning when to go downstream or resist upstream contribute to sustainable, emergent, and confident practices. In this dance with time, the focal point isn't the "end goal," but rather, the journey itself.
